At Bridge Carbon, we believe that legal and compliance excellence is inseparable from our broader mission. The integrity of carbon markets depends on trust — and trust is built through transparent, well-governed, and legally sound practice at every level of our work.

Our legal and compliance function exists to support that mission: ensuring that Bridge Carbon operates to the highest standards in the jurisdictions where we work, that our contractual and regulatory obligations are met with rigour, and that our partners and counterparties can engage with us with confidence.

We take our obligations seriously — to our stakeholders, to the communities in which our projects operate, and to the wider frameworks that govern international carbon markets, including the Paris Agreement and applicable national regulations.

Speak Up

You should always feel encouraged to ask questions, raise potential concerns, or challenge issues when the need arises. There are several channels you may use. While we always encourage raising the issue directly with the person involved, there may be reasons you do not want to do this, reports can be made in whichever way you feel most comfortable.

Sometimes it helps to discuss a concern with someone else first — to get informal advice on what to do, or to have support if you decide to make a formal report.

Help protect our integrity

Report a suspected breach of our policies, or any illegal or unethical behaviour, through our secure Speak Up system — or contact Compliance & Business Conduct directly at voices@bridgecarbon.com. The system is open to employees and to anyone outside Bridge Carbon.

KYC integrity due diligence

Bridge Carbon completes Know Your Customer integrity due diligence on all counterparties before entering into new contracts or executing new projects.

KYC is not just a financial tool — it is how we build trust, prevent harm, and ensure we work with partners who share our values.

Due diligence

We screen partners for corruption records, sanctions, and conflicts of interest before any engagement.

Investor and buyer screening

All investors and carbon credit buyers are screened for sanctions exposure, beneficial ownership, source of funds, and links to corrupt practices, criminal activity or financial crime before onboarding or transacting.

Supplier screening

All suppliers and service providers are checked for links to corrupt practices, criminal activity, forced labour or human rights abuses before onboarding.

Ongoing monitoring

KYC is not a one-time event. We re-verify periodically — particularly when personnel change or red flags emerge in the field.

ESG and stakeholder engagement

Engaging with governments and other stakeholders, such as industry associations, is part of our work.

We will ensure our advocacy is consistent with our mission, grounded in our work, has integrity at its core, and advances defined public and community interests.

Bridge Carbon has embedded robust processes in managing political engagements with our stakeholders to ensure transparency, legitimate business practices and the highest ethical requirements are met in all interactions with third-parties.
