Bridge Carbon, as a Project Developer, would like to request local stakeholders in Kenya to provide feedback on their carbon finance Project, “Installation of high efficiency wood burning cookstoves in Kenya.” The project will be developed under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). The project aims to provide clean energy access to households through the distribution of fuel-efficient cookstoves by engaging the local community. The project will contribute to the sustainable development goals through decreased demand for wood fuel, reduced deforestation, reduced drudgery in wood gathering and cooking time, increased skills and employment for the local community, and improved health through reduced household air pollution. Carbon Finance will be used to increase the feasibility of this project as it will help in providing clean energy access to households that lack awareness, required resources, and technical know-how. Feedback on the proposed program will be collected after the completion of the Local Stakeholder Consultation (LSC) meeting from the participants on the same day, scheduled on 03rd November 2020.
